VPN Login Difficulties - Information Services Notifications and Outages 12/06/2024

Logging into the VPN is currently very slow and sometimes requires multiple attempts. We are aware of this issue and are working with the vendor to solve it. If you have trouble connecting to the VPN, please keep trying. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will update this blog when we have more information.

VPN Outage This Evening (12/5) at 6:30 PM - Information Services Notifications and Outages 12/05/2024

To address a performance issue, VPN services will be unavailable at 6:30 PM for approximately 15 minutes. Those currently connected will need to reconnect following the outage.

Cheek Hall Computer Lab Closing & Meyer Library Computer Lab Renovations - Information Services Notifications and Outages 11/26/2024

The Cheek 150 Open-Access Computer Lab will be closing at the end of the Fall semester and will remain closed. This is to prepare for upcoming building renovations scheduled to be completed in 2026, which include a new, efficient computing space for students. Last night there was an issue affecting desk phones and the mobile client. If you see a message on the phone saying acquiring signal, reboot it (unplug and plug back in) and it should reset back to normal. Banner Upgrades – Sunday, October 20 10/17/2024

On Sunday, October 20, the following systems will be updated and unavailable to maintain the University’s technology infrastructure: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Admin Banner, BDM, SSB8, Self Service 9, our custom web applications, and all other systems reliant upon the database will not be available during this time. There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Brightspace, Office 365, email services, video surveillance systems, electronic door access, and the application for admission.

Planned Network Maintenance – Night of August 9th 08/06/2024

From 11 PM the night of Friday, August 9th to 2 AM the morning of Saturday, August 10 university networks will undergo planned maintenance. Users of university networks should expect the following impacts: During the maintenance window on-campus users may experience two or three short, less than one minute, internet outages. Campus VPN services may be intermittently unavailable for one or two periods of up to 30 minutes.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, several university systems will be down for scheduled maintenance: 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM - Services that rely on university data centers will be unavailable do to a network upgrade. These include university websites, the My Missouri State portal, Blackboard Learn, and VPN services. 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM - Occasional interruption to services like file and print servers should be expected during this time as servers are moved between university data centers. 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM - On-campus wi-fi services will be upgraded and intermittently unavailable.
