Fresh off the bench. I just need to make a sheath and it's ready to go out the door. 4" drop point hunter, with 5 inch handle. 5160 steel, with a purple heart handle.

I'm definitely getting the process and design if these floating hooks down. These will hold coffee cups on a coffee bar I'm making. They will float on a cross bar hanging from forged shelf brackets.

Hi all. It's been a few weeks since I've posted here. It's archery hunting season, mushroom season, and my school is back in session, so I've been a bit busy lol. But today, I cut out some chefs knives and forged on a gift that will be finished in the next couple of weeks. Here are the roughed out knives. And a few mushrooms pictures for fun lol.

Chef's knife that I just finished and traded for a new welder after my old one quit turning on. 5160 leaf spring blade, purple heart and plum wood handle all in a Japanese Gyoto style knife housed in a hand made leather sheath.

A little break from my normal work for a cleaning day, and to teach myself electro etching for a 7 foot crow sculpture we're making at the highschool I teach at.

I've been plugging through some projects lately. One of which is a surprise for the recipient. So I won't be sharing that one until it's done. But since I haven't shared in a bit, I thought I'd throw some pics up today.

1. Is a bit of a failure but a fun test project. I was given a bunch of railroad spikes a while back. And I'm not typically a fan of using them. But decided I'd try something. This has a forge welded high carbon blade on a railroad spike handle. The piece of high carbon steel I used was way too thin, so the balance is VERY handle heavy. But now I know for next time.

2. In blacksmithing we say need a tool, make a tool. I've been needing a small cone for forming small items around. So I made myself this this little hardy bick to form leaves and such on.

I've also been working on a bunch of pottery, but don't have pics of that. I should have a kiln load firing in the next week or so though.

Also please like and share my posts, invite folks to follow my page. I'm trying to get this up and running as a profit making venture. Any support and help you can give whether buying a piece, or sharing my posts would be lovely and greatly appreciated.

Just a happy little scorpion bottle opener I made today. About 3" long and about 1.25" tall. $20 for anyone interested.

It was too hot yesterday to forge most of the day. So I cooked off with some pottery, and a little forging in the evening.
