The gimmick of a tag team match is to make frequent tags (and the all important Hot Tag), keeping the fresher man in the ring at all times. Fluid teamwork will help your team maintain control and eventually lead to victory. If you're the villain, don't cheat directly in front of the referee and risk disqualification, use your partner to create a distraction or use a sneaky tactic to turn the tide in your favor. Heels, cut the ring in half and don't let your opponent get anywhere near his corner. Babyface taking the heat shouldn't be able to make his own comeback, save that for your partner who's been anxiously waiting to even the score. Build up to the hot tag and give the people what they've been waiting for. Don't hog the ring time, an efficient and effective team will share the workload and have each other's backs.
