Yesterday we paused to remember the ones who never came home.
Memorial Day is not about the long weekend.
It is about the men and women who gave everything so we could have everything after.
We do not take that lightly.

People drive hours to get here.
Some come from Kansas City.
Some from Manhattan, KS.
A few have driven 4 hours one way.
It’s not because we’re the closest option. It’s because the closer options let them down.
No one listened to what they actually wanted.
