We have a friendly reminder that we will be closed this Tuesday September 8th for our family to spend more time with theirs. As a business we remember the reason for this holiday that so many have forgotten.

Labor Day is a federal holiday that was established in 1894 in response to federal troops clashing with American workers in the Pullman strike in Chicago in which about 30 Americans were killed by Federal troops. Labor strife and the inability of our fellow Americans to seek the American Dream and the barriers that life in 2026 have been put in front of our young people for the benefit of the ultra-privilaged seem to be as relevant today as 130 years ago.

We must be the change we wish to see in the world.

The time has come to provide Gilardis to every kitchen across The Queen City of the Ozarks and we need your help.

We are announcing an exciting development here at 820 East Walnut and we need our community to come together and send your best recommendations for our vision of quality construction with an eye on our mission statement and the potential importance of this project to the Ozarks.

We are actively requesting construction bids for a facelift to our interior as well as the re-imagining of our facility as a pasta making and family meal facility that will stand as an icon for another 25 years. The exquisite experience of dining at Gilardis on Walnut will only elevate with an updated interior and infrastructure improvements. Even more importantly, we will be able to provide much needed celebration meals for delivery/pickup that will make an everyday occasion a celebration.
We are seeking the following recommendations.
1. Electrical work pulling permits with the city and updating our new pasta facility for additional work stations, electric run to a new walk-in/freezer, and repair of existing outlets.
2. Concrete pad for new exterior walk-in/freezer as well as concrete/brick repair work on the driveway.
3. Replacement of a large section of the kitchen floor and retile.
4. Replacement of the carpet in the dining room and ¼ round trim.
5. Painting of dining room.
6. Replumbing of outside the wall plumbing.

Despite the oppressive heat, we are rejoicing in the bounty of summer in the Ozarks. On your next visit, look forward to proscuitto-wrapped cantaloupe, watermelon gazpacho, caprese salad, prime-grade carpaccio, and a basket of other summer favorites. Introducing our new menu for the week of August 18th thru August 22nd. The weather may be hot but our menu is quite literally cool! We are featuring smoked Portobello hummus, Proscuitto wrapped cantaloupe and spiced watermelon gazpacho along with all of our amazing offerings this week.

Just a reminder that our Greyzing the Garden: Benefitting The Child Advocacy Center is set for tomorrow with a newly cleaned up garden. We will be hosting indoors due to the heat with our Head Dishwasher providing garden tours through the evening.

Our w**e dinner focused on Fuili/Scarpetta w**ery is next Tuesday and we couldn't be more excited to be sold out!
