Following the meeting, we kept the learning going with “Moving the Sale Forward,” featuring Luis Rivas with Valley Pest Control and Carlton Mills with Pillar To Post Home Inspectors. 🏠🔍 Thank you both for sharing your expertise on inspection findings, pest concerns, and the issues that can impact repairs and real estate transactions.

We appreciated hearing from Katie Carroll, Senior Planner with the City of Springfield, who shared an overview of Housing Futures and how community members can help shape Springfield’s housing needs now and into the future.

Members also heard committee updates and learned about upcoming education opportunities, including our Education Expo. Stay tuned—registration will open soon! 📚

Congratulations to the winners of our business card gift basket drawing!🎉 We also held a 50/50 raffle and collected “Turkey Bills,” giving members the opportunity to donate $1 to brag or share something exciting—whether real estate-related or personal. Funds raised throughout the year help us purchase turkeys for local families in need during the holiday season. 🦃❤️

Following the membership meeting, attendees enjoyed earning 1 CE credit and stayed for our insurance panel featuring valuable information and insights from industry professionals.

Gen X remains a major force in today’s housing market. Buyers ages 46–60 made up 25% of recent home buyers and 23% of sellers, showing their continued influence on housing trends.
