Nelson W. Trout Lectures Each year Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University holds the Nelson W. Trout Lectures, honoring the life and legacy of The Rev. Dr. Nelson W. Trout.

Our member, Jacob A. Bennett, will be recognized as a distinguished alumni of Ridgewood School on the evening of September 25 at our Earth to Table/Alumni Dinner when we celebrate the opening of the school year. Jacob is a graduate of Yale Law School and formerly worked at the Department of Justice where he received a Special Commendation for Outstanding Service in the Civil Division. He now is an associate at Steptoe, an international law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C. To join us at the dinner, call 937-399-8900, or go to EarthToTable.givesmart.com.

Tonight donations from the congregations of Zion Lutheran and First Lutheran were sorted and packed at First Lutheran with the additional help of BrickBase! Together we packed over 30 boxes to help St. Vincent de Paul’s call for aid for the vulnerable in our community, especially our Haitian neighbors.

Springfield Lutherans of the ELCA: First, St. John’s, Zion, Good Shepherd, & Wittenberg University. Better together for our community, shining the light of Christ with our neighbors and the world.
