Can someone leave hospice care if they change their mind?

Yes! Choosing hospice doesn’t mean you’re locked into that decision. A patient can choose to stop hospice care at any time, for example, if they decide to pursue curative treatment again.

Hospice is about honoring a person’s choices, goals, and wishes throughout their care.
