We took our scentwork classes to the fairgrounds today where we searched several different areas with a variety of challenges. Everyone did great!

This is Hoot!

Sydney has been working Hoot in our Day Training program. He has learned basic obedience, off leash control, game play, as well as a service for his owner!

Yesterday, Hoot got to check out the State Fairgrounds to practice his off leash work and down stays in a new environment. Good job Hoot!

Maverick went to his first AKC Scent Work trial yesterday earning placements 🏆 in all of his qualifying rounds for a great start on his Novice Title!

Just as importantly, he was able to quietly and patiently wait in line to search in close proximity to a lot of other dogs, many of whom were barking throughout the day. Huge win for Maverick and Laura!👏 🎉

Beyond the ribbons, Scentwork is a key🔑 to a ton a life skills and behavioral benefits, whether dogs are overly friendly, have too much energy and need a job, are fearful or reactive. And handlers and dogs get mental stimulation while enjoying themselves!❤️

We will be starting a 🆕 Beginner/Intro to Nosework Session on Tuesday, June 9 at 6:45 PM.
