Role & Responsibilities

The Design and Construction Project Manager’s role and responsibilities include the ability to be the primary contact for development projects and managing the design and construction of the project from the concept design phase to completion. This includes coordinating all the design, estimating, and construction with outside parties. This role will have a close collaboration with the COO and Owner of the company.

The desirable credentials and abilities include:

A minimum of 5 years in the construction and design industry providing project management to design and construction projects.
Passion for design, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, collaborative spirit, willingness to learn/mentor, and a sense of humor.
Provide Project Management services for development projects by managing cost, scope, schedule, resources, and risk. The candidate will develop and document the intended development scope, and identify associated costs and schedule based on that scope. Manage and report variance according to the developed plan.
Experience in managing scope, schedule, and cost.
Demonstrated ability to provide project management phases of initiation, design, implementation, and project closing in a design and construction environment.
Demonstrated ability to control projects while managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.
Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability for problem-solving, critical thinking, independent work, technical and administrative skills, and computer literacy.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects well: targeted profit, client relationships, quality performance, and collaboration with DDC.

Miller Commerce is seeking a Design and Construction Project Manager.

We're a real estate development company located in Downtown Springfield, Missouri that specializes in specializing! We mostly create unique rental housing options for niche markets, specializing in the 55+/Senior space. We tend to relate well with seniors, students, or just quirky little markets like downtown lofts or some housing need that has either gone neglected or exists that our market hasn't even realized it needs yet! (Btw, that's our fav!) We only jump in on projects that we believe we are in for the long haul. So, once we build it, we tend to hold onto it and run it - and we pride ourselves on being amazing landlords.

New Springfield senior living facility gets in Christmas spirit with horse-and-buggy rides Turners Rock, a new senior living facility, offered a unique way of getting its residents into the Christmas spirit on Friday with free horse-and-buggy rides.

Sam is responsible for assisting pretty much wherever there is a need. Outside of directly supporting Matt, he plays a key role in marketing and stakeholder communications. We are so lucky to have Sam on our team!

Mission Ridge is making great progress over on Kansas Avenue! This senior living community will include a salon, rooftop officers club, fitness center, and multiple activity rooms. It will feature resort style outdoor amenity spaces such as a walking trail, gazebo, fireplace, outdoor kitchen, and pool.
