A church at a crossroads: Spain's Catholics look to Pope Leo for encouragement
“Something is changing in Spain regarding the relationship between religion and, above all, young people,” said Father Sánchez, who will be able to personally greet Pope Leo in the nunciature with other Augustinians in Madrid on June 7. “Why do I say this? Well, because I see, above all, more participation from young people in religious celebrations and also less fear of identifying as a believer and as Catholic.”

Pope Francis Prep graduates share joy, gratitude
The class had two co-valedictorians, twin brothers Marcus and Oliver Tran. The pair, who had come to Pope Francis from the public-school system, reminisced about their journey.
“I personally came into this school not knowing anyone, really,” Oliver Tran said. “Just being able to reflect on the friendships I’ve made, all of the close friendships I’ve developed over the past four years, is really special,” he said.

Singer, songwriter Steve Angrisano sings a joyful message at St. Stanislaus Basilica
“I see a lot of hope in young people. They also recognize truth. You know I always say truth with compassion is very compelling. And so, as Christians sometimes we say we’re afraid to say the truth. But we shouldn’t be afraid to say the truth, with compassion. That’s what Jesus did. He was a compelling figure. Not because he hid behind anything. But when he shared with love, people wanted to hear more,” he said.
