Respite Centers Available for SPS Families
SPS is opening two of its schools for students and their families to help provide relief following this ice storm emergency.



The respite centers will provide a location for SPS families to warm up, dry off, charge devices, eat a hot meal and find support and community.



Respite Center Locations:



Two Rivers-Dos Rios Elementary
1084 G Street


Springfield High School
875 7th Street


Dates, Hours and Meal Times (both locations):



Thursday, January 18
4 -7 p.m.
Meal served 4 -6 p.m.


Friday, January 19 through Sunday, January 21
7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Meals served:
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
4 - 6 p.m.


SPS will continue to work with its community partners to provide support to its families and share any information about future respite centers in a separate newsletter and on social media.

It is always exciting and appreciated when Project Hope is hosted at Maple!
You can reserve your ticket two weeks from today.

Project Hope will hold a back-to-school giveaway of new shoes, socks, backpacks and school supplies at Maple Elementary (2109 J St., Springfield) on ✨ Saturday, August 26.

Tickets will be available starting 🎟 Friday, August 18 at this link: https://2023Springfield.eventbrite.com

This is a one day event, but you can choose from multiple appointment times.

-Each student must have a ticket and be present at the event to receive supplies.
-Only students need tickets. Parents do not need a ticket.
-Please arrive at your selected appointment time, not before.

Spirit week starts tomorrow with Character Day!

There will be a PTA meeting at the school at 5:30 this Thursday (October 27th). We look forward to seeing you there!

Look who it is! Mabel stopped by to celebrate a GREAT first full week of the school year and congratulate our first Hooray Drawing winners.

Each Friday, our wonderful Mrs. Bradley draws names from all of the hoorays earned that week. Hoorays recognize a student who has set an amazing example of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible in our school.

Thanks for hanging out with us, Mabel! We'll see you soon.
