On October 11 there is a benefit for Troopers Lodge 41 President Kevin Howell.

If you happen to be golfing today at the Illinois Department of Corrections FOP Lodge 263 golf outing, come on by the Illinois FOP Foundation table. We have Phil's would famous lemonade for free. All donations help the Foundation to Support families of Police Officers from Illinois who make the ultimate sacrifice.

We are at the Troopers 41 outing. Stop by and pick up a bottle or raffle ticket.

We will be at our first golf outing of the season today with Wally Rolniak Lodge #6 in Crete. We now have Bulleit 10-year-old bourbon and Patron Tequila. All bottles $60.00 donation comes with a bag and a challenge coin.

As we start National Police Week in Washington DC. Let's reflect on the officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This Friday, 363 names will be added to the wall. Including two from Illinois. Officer Krystal Rivera (Chicago Police Department, E.O.W. 06-05-2025) and Detective Tim Jones (Park Forest Police Department, E.O.W. 12-03-2025).

National Police Week, observed annually in May, honors law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, rooted in a 1962 proclamation by President John F. Kennedy. It officially designates May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and features week-long events in Washington, D.C., including a candlelight vigil and memorial service.
