Success is built one day at a time through hard work, commitment, and the determination to keep going until the goal is reached. These graduates showed up, put in the effort, and stayed the course from beginning to end.

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see where their journeys take them next. The future is bright! 💙

Some of the guys spent a perfect day exploring the animals and enjoying everything the Henson Robinson Zoo had to offer. Sometimes the very best exercise doesn’t happen in a gym — it happens outside laughing with friends, soaking up the sunshine, and making memories together.

Fresh air really is good for the soul. 💚

Saturday, May 23rd was all about celebrating Brian — or “BB” as he’s lovingly known by everyone lucky enough to know him. ❤️

Our staff made sure his birthday was more than just cake and candles. They made it a BIG deal… because BB is a big deal. From smiles and laughter to the little moments that matter most, today was about making him feel celebrated, valued, and deeply loved.

At Sparc, birthdays are never just dates on a calendar. They are reminders that every person deserves joy, attention, dignity, and people who show up for them wholeheartedly.

Happy Birthday, BB! Thank you for reminding us that the very best celebrations are the ones filled with genuine love. 🎉🎂

Some mornings are about crossing finish lines… and some mornings are about the people standing along the way making everyone smile a little bigger.

Today, the people we support at Sparc were proud to volunteer and pass out donuts at the 2026 Fat Ass 5K-ish. While our intent is always to cheer the runners on and celebrate their accomplishments, year after year these amazing participants somehow end up cheering us on right back.

Thank you for the smiles, the kindness, the high fives, and for always making our folks feel seen, included, and appreciated. We notice… and it means more than you know. 🍩❤️

The people we support at Sparc had an incredible opportunity to participate in interactive healthy cooking and meal preparation classes through SIU’s Culinary Program at Memorial. From learning new techniques to making thoughtful, healthy choices, these moments are about so much more than what’s on the plate—they’re about independence, pride, and living well.

We are so grateful to SIU and Memorial for opening their kitchens and their hearts to create such a meaningful experience. Opportunities like this don’t just teach skills—they inspire possibility. 💛
