Be the STEM

The program “Be the STEM” is designed to introduce young people in the 6th-8th grade to STEM related career fields and assists them with the transition from middle school to high school. We also promote higher education by implementing National Urban League’s “Project Ready” a college preparation curriculum where every young person will create an Individualized college development plan (ICDP). The intent of “Be the STEM” is to engage students in a group mentoring experience where they will also have an opportunity to build personal character and social skills, along with functional and academic knowledge of various STEM disciplines and career opportunities.
