It is their duty to identify member concerns and industry issues then implement a plan of action, program and/or activity to effectively address those needs.
The Sangamon County Farm Bureau is a not for profit organization who focuses on three primary areas:
• Service to members
• Government and politics
• Education and information
The organization has a Board of 19 Directors and six regular committees. The Sangamon County Farm Bureau also works collectively with the membership, surrounding community and county, state and national leaders to improve industry relations and monitor progress on issues important to the organization. Through offering programs, events and educational opportunities, we hope to improve the well-being of farmers while also telling their story to the public and encouraging appreciation for the industry that provides so much.

Attention teachers! With Illinois's new environmental education mandate, we have teamed up with Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom to host a FREE two-hour teacher workshop. Each teacher who attends will receive a free box of materials, lessons, and ideas to use in their classroom! Check out the flyer below to register.

We are so happy to have the Giving Plate back for another fundraiser to help support our Ag in the Classroom programs in Logan, Menard, and Sangamon Counties. The Fall Ag-Venture Barn is touring this week! Meet the farm animals traveling to local, Sangamon County elementary schools in our mobile barn to help educate students about the animals we might see on a farm and the products they provide. Thank you to all who volunteered their time, Prairieland FS, Inc., for lending us a truck, and those who continually support this program by allowing us to use their animals to educate our local youth! We couldn't possibly make this tour happen without their help!
