We take seriously Christ’s call to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. We also try to embody the freely given grace of God.
Organized in 2008 as a cooperative effort of several Springfield-area United Methodist Churches, the mission of the Open Hands Free Store is to support the material and spiritual needs of people in the Springfield and Clark County area. At this time - due to COVID/19- we are only able to provide free food and personal care items - every Thursday from 2-4 pm! You can receive these items every week if you choose! We can not accept any physical donations!

Have you discovered the Open Hands Free Pantry! Open Tuesdays from 10-12noon and Thursdays from 2-4pm. We are located in the Covenant United Methodist Church at 529 West Johnny Lytle Avenue!! We hope to see you soon!!
