Tonight our Township Committee along with Assemblyman Vincent Kearney and Union County Commissioner Rebecca Williams celebrated the 232nd anniversary of the town by reading the minutes of the first Township Committee meeting. Former Mayor Clara Harelik and Former Deputy Mayor Margaret Bandrowski also joined in on the festivities.

Today, we pause to observe Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day). We honor the memory of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside millions of other victims of N**i persecution.

We also stand in tribute to the incredible courage of the survivors and the "Righteous Among the Nations" who risked everything to protect human life.
