Hancock Family Farm

As the last day of September is upon us, here’s a quick update from our farm behind the market and farm stand.

Calving season is here and our girls have some beautiful new babies that are getting their feet under them and cute as ever. We try to calve earlier so that they’re not born into the cooler months which tend to be harder on them. It’s worked out well.

Pure Alfalfa bales are now available from Hancock Family Farm. Our son Lee and team have just finished baling and storing his pure alfalfa bales for sale. Grown in Robertson County’s rich soil, they’re great to keep your livestock fed this fall and through winter. Give us a call if you’d like to set a pick up.

Out on the trampoline Kate and Jade practice their jumps while our combine rests before getting back to it today for more harvest. It’s been a bit of a race this year with corn and other crops but the Lord continues to watch over us thankfully.

Our mums continue to open up now that the heat of summer fades into cooler Autumn temperatures. Lee did a great job and they are beautiful and healthy.

And out in the fields more pumpkins of all varieties and squashes continue to reveal themselves soon to be harvested and brought up to our market.

Heading into October we’re excited to continue to serve our community as our market and farm stand continue to stay busy as your local market to feed your friends and families right.

🌼Mums, pumpkins and crisp cool Autumn mornings are now the season in Middle Tennessee. But not to worry you’ll be taking that sweater off by mid-day and then it’s time to cool down with some ice cream, an apple c***r, slushy or float.

Thanks to our community for a wonderful weekend in Springfield and at our Farm stand at the Nashville Farmers’ Market.

🌸🌼🌸We still have an abundance of monstrous mums in a variety of colors and a wide selection of amazing pumpkins and heirloom types as well all grown by us.

🍎🍏 We’re stocked up and ready with plenty of apples, Hancock made caramel apples and 100% pure pressed apple c***r so come n get it.

And somehow we started picking our final crop of tomatoes Saturday. Red River and Cherokee are back in the line up now. Tomato season has been one for the books even with low rain fall this September.

The weekend is upon us as our pumpkins meet the sunrise, resting out in our fields, waiting to be brought up to the market in Springfield and at the farm stand at Nashville Farmers’ Market.

With less than one week away, before the temperatures begin to finally drop, our crops have been fortunate enough to remain healthy and fresh.

Coming into the weekend we are stocked up, the meat cases are stacked and produce is piled high.

🌼Lee’s mums continue to blossom just at the right time to be enjoyed through Autumn and into the cooler temps.

Amish baked goods arrive today as well as Amazin’ Glazin’ Fried Pies.

We look forward to visiting with you this weekend and the soft serve ice cream is ready for a good ol’ cool down.🍦
