Our library work space was utilized by a student who created a bear as part of her Genius Hour project. The bear was made out of recycled materials and other items we already had in the library.
Congratulations to the 73 students who took part in the Springfield Greene County Library Summer Reading Program. Those 73 Carver students read a total of 1123 hours. Great job!

Students who read 4 or more 2015-2016 Truman Nominees are eligible to vote for their favorite book in the statewide vote this spring. Thank you Foundation for Springfield Public Schools for the 2015-2016 Truman Grant! Our Trumans have been very popular this year. By the second day of school every one of our forty-eight copies were checked out. We have many copies on hold and most days there are very few, if any, copies on the shelf. This grant will allow the library to purchase four more copies of each of the 2015-2016 Truman Award Nominees.
Book Club begins on Tuesday, Sept. 8th. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:00 a.m. in the Library Learning Commons. Be sure to see Ms. Mc Guane in the library for a pass if you want to attend.
