Helen Donuts is now open! Located on Tom Austin right behind Starbucks, this gorgeously designed donut shop is filled with all of the classics, and some new twists too! Dani, the owner, named the sweet shop after her now 7 year old daughter, Helen. This is her second location, with her first being in Greenbrier. We’re so excited to have you, Dani!
Helen Donuts is now open 5 am until noon, and they plan to extend hours once they are settled in. 🍩

Did you hear? BS Brew Works is starting a Silent Book Club! Instead of rushing to get the book chapters read and discussing them together, you’ll bring whatever you’re reading now to the brewery, share a bit about it, then just…well…enjoy reading on your own in silence with your favorite beverage and maybe a snack or two! The Robertson County Historical Society just received some spooktacular donations from Bo Adams, just in time for the season! This is an original “traveling casket” from Austin & Bell Funeral Home.
The size indicates it was likely for children or teens. The casket would be used to transport the individual to their final city, where they could be prepared for burial by the appropriate funeral home. It was likely used many times as a way to transport the dead.
Now, it has found its final resting place at the history museum on the square.
