Springfield’s The Block Party and Herencia Hispana are happening this Saturday.
The Library will remain open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., but event setup will affect parking and access around City Hall.

Here is what Library visitors should know for Saturday, Sept. 12:

A Street book drop:
Vehicle access to the book drop will be unavailable after 11 a.m. The book drop slot will remain available for walk-up use.

Parking closures:
The following parking areas will be unavailable during the event:
- The Library parking lot, located off Fifth Street between A and B streets
- On-street parking within the event area

Accessible parking near the Library:
Lot 51 (Lot #1 on this map) is located beneath City Hall on the north side of A Street, near the ballot box and Library book drop. The lot includes ADA-accessible spaces and nearby elevator access.

Additional parking:
Street parking will remain available outside the event area. See the Block Party event map at springfieldblockparty.com/map for additional parking and access information.

Check out a Cultural Pass for a free pair of tickets to My Hero Academia in Concert at the Hult Center, a an musical event 10 years in the making. The cultural passes will be available for checkout on Friday, September 11th at the Springfield Public Library while supplies last. The show starts Friday, September 18th at 7:30 p.m at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, City of Eugene.

Congratulations to Lily, the last Summer Reading plant stuffy winner! Huge thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to our other winners and runners-up throughout the summer.

We will have a new Hide and Seek stuffy out in the next week!

School is beginning again and we are starting up our library programs for the fall! A few things begin this week: our three weekly storytimes, all-ages Chess Club (tonight 4:30-6:30 p.m.!), and our yearly all-ages Oregon Battle of the Book (OBOB) Online Reading Challenge using Beanstack.
