Meet Damian, our new Chaplain and Spiritual Counselor!
Damian has many years of experience serving families through ministry and spiritual care. His genuine compassion for our patients and families makes him a perfect match for our Springfield team!
"I chose Aveanna Hospice because of the heart of the team," said Damian. "From the very beginning, I could see that people here genuinely care. That kind of environment matters. I appreciate the way our team works together to care for the whole person—physically, emotionally, and spiritually."
Damian's favorite part of his work is the people because he believes that every person has a life story worth hearing. No matter the kind of day, he values the moments spent listening to stories and memories shared around a bedside.
We are so thankful you've joined our team, Damian!

This Memorial Day, it is our honor to remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to protect the freedoms we hold dear.
Memorial Day is also a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the many veterans who are part of the Aveanna family. Your continued service—now in support of patients and families across the country—is a powerful reflection of the values we admire and strive to uphold. We are proud to work alongside you, and we thank you for your dedication to both our country and our company.
Thank you for all you do to bring our care home—this Memorial Day and every day.

Today, Aveanna recognizes Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a time to spread awareness and learn about digital equality for the one billion people living in the world with a disability.
Every user deserves the same digital experience, including those with vision, hearing, mobility, and cognitive disabilities or impairments. Today and every day, we celebrate the power of accessibility and its ability to break down barriers that hinder equal opportunities for all.

Our Springfield Administrative Office Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator and CNA planned a special outing for the RNs at our office for Nurses Week!
It was kept a surprise until the night of the event. Everyone arrived at the office, where they were then driven to the event. The event was then identified as "Mahalo to our Nurses." We had a Luau Cookie Decorating Class at the Garden House, where they were able to walk through the gardens and coy ponds! We enjoyed the night decorating cookies, laughing, and telling stories about our nursing journeys.
Happy Nurses Week!
