George Dahir, MD

with multiple research
publications. He returned to the University of Virginia for an orthopedic surgery residency, as
well as a sports and hand fellowship, serving as one of the team physicians for the University. After being in practice for many years, Dr. Dahir later earned a Masters in Health Care
Management degree at the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management. Dr. Dahir has practiced orthopedic surgery in northern middle Tennessee since 1999. He has
been at NorthCrest /Tristar NorthCrest Hospital, providing care for the community, which has
become an integral part of his life. His practice is based on general orthopedics, caring for most
of the individual patient’s needs. Particular interest includes total joint replacements,
arthroscopic surgery on the knee and shoulder, fracture care, and hand surgery. Dr. Dahir, Stacy Nadler Ward, and all of the staff are very excited about joining Dube Orthopedics and Physical Therapy to continue serving the orthopedic needs of the patients in and around Robertson County. His outside interests center around his family, including his son and twin daughters. As many of
you know, his wife Kathryn is an Endocrinologist at Vanderbilt specializing in rare bone
disorders.
