You may be experiencing Internet issues today, as Cloudfare is experiencing an outage.

Cloudfare is a huge Internet infrastructure provider that allows websites to serve their pages to users (similar to Amazon Web Services - AWS.)

Recall that there was an AWS outage a few weeks ago. Hopefully, this is coincidental and not something more nefarious.

Apple will comply with the EU forced support of RCS Messaging in iOS 18 (joining the rest of the world.) If they do not comply, they will not be able to sell those devices in Europe.

There are a few exploits in Apple devices that have been addresses via updates from Apple today. Some are considered zero-day exploits and should be patched immediately. Check for updates on your various device(s).

I have an Android phone as my personal device, and carry an iPhone for work. People are freaking out about the Name Drop technology that Apple just added. Probably for no reason, but turn it off if you're worried.

Analysis | NameDrop is safe. The fearmongering about it is not. Local police have been warning about the safety of the NameDrop feature in iPhones to wirelessly share contact information. Don’t worry. They’re wrong.

Apples (once again) late to the party, is supposed to start supporting RCS Messaging Standard on iPhone(s) next year. Of course, this is not being done voluntarily or for the good of the consumer, but for the same reason(s) that the iPhone 15 has been rolled out with USB-C (because of regulatory requirements.)

This will be separate from iMessage, but will provide better cross-platform messaging to Android devices.
