Friends and followers, it is with a heavy heart we announce today the loss of a great friend and a very special person. Long time member, writer of mystery and romance, Shirley King McCann went to meet our Creator yesterday morning, unexpectedly. She will be dearly missed by all. She was loved by everyone she met and you could never have found, nor will find, a more selfless person on this earth. Heaven has been blessed with a shining smile that will never be forgotten.

We love you, Shirley. Rest in peace.

We are gearing up for our annual MEGA WRITE-IN event. You don't have to be a member of either organization to join us.

January 3, 2026, 10 to 4 at the Springfield-Greene County Library District Library Center on South Campbell in the Auditorium.

There will be a small fee for lunch which will be delivered to the library.

The second quarter ORA Contest is open to the public. $75 first prize, $50 second and $25 third. Enter today.

Free to Ozarks Romance Authors members and only a $10 fee to non-members.
