It's official!! The Lady Kathran aka The William M McMurry house has met the criteria for national registry acceptance and was approved by the TN National Historical Society board to be submitted to Washington DC to be approved to be placed on the national list of historical places.

Lizzy's great great granddaughter and her daughter were present for this official award today.

The first annual cookie decorating was so much fun --it will be an annual tradition going forward.

Thinking of hosting a cookie decorating exchange on Sunday, Dec 18th from 2-5 pm in Springfield at the B&B - let me know if you're interested so I can get your name on the list --this will be so much fun!!

You would bring 24 cookies to share and decorate - this would give everyone a nice variety of Xmas cookies to take home----if you don't have time to bake in advance bring your ingredients and you can bake them at the house but arrive early so they have time to cool...

Bring sprinkles and other things to decorate with - check your cubbards if they're like mine -you have lots of decorating 'stuff'

It'll be fun hanging out and catching up
- Bring a finger food to share and your favorite beverage

Don't forget a tote to take your cookies home with!!
