Springfield Federated Music Club

A wonderful SFMC meeting was held at Prince of Peace Lutheran church on Saturday, August 29th.

Anna Jansen has some piano ensemble music that she would like to donate to someone who could use it.

From Anna: I used to perform in a Piano-6 hands group so we had alot of music and extra copies. Therefore I have a ton of Piano 6-hands Repertoire (ranging from intermediate to advanced ) that I would love to get into the hands of someone who could use it. Since I have been focusing on my fmaily the past several years I am not in-the-know of current piano teachers or college students who could possibly use this. I am willing to donate it.

Hello all Springfield Federated Music Club members! You’re invited to a brunch as we welcome a new musical school year. Meet our officers, hear the PowerPoint presentation “Music can change the world” that was shared at the state convention, and connect with club members. The meeting will include important festival information, organizational updates, and an opportunity to complete your junior club dues form. Join us for a late morning of delicious finger foods and gather with dedicated music lovers. It’s Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10:30 to 12:00 noon. It’s at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 815 E. Farm Road 182, Springfield, MO 65810. Bring your $30 for dues. If you are unable to be there, send your dues to Starla Blair by October 1st.

Springfield, Missouri was featured in the spring edition of the NFMC Junior Keynotes magazine. It was an honor to be the featured composer of Leann Pyrah Rodman piano studio "Parade of American Composers" recital last fall. Her students were a joy to listen to and so sweet to talk with a bit between recitals.
