MoState Model United Nations

Fifteen Missouri State University students were among three hundred students from 30 colleges and universities to attend the Midwest Model United Nations (MMUN) conference in St. Louis at the end of February. They represented the delegations of Japan, Jordan, and Seychelles on numerous UN committees covering a wide array of global topics. Our President Kayla Thayer volunteered to assist on the Staff as the Legal for the General Assembly Second Committee. We are proud and honored to receive the numerous awards listed below:

Distinguished Delegation (second highest honor) – Seychelles

tonight was our last meeting and we got to say thank you and congratulations to some AMAZING graduates! these students have been in the club for a while, have served on our executive board, attended multiple conferences, accumulated multiple awards every year, and we cannot wait to see where you all go. good luck and we know you’ll do amazing things :)

This weekend Model UN had the honor of representing Somalia, Iraq, and Egypt in three councils (environmental, political and defense) at the Great Plains Model Arab League. All three countries represented won outstanding delegation awards and we also received distinguished chair for the joint defense council! We had so much fun and can’t wait to participate in next year.

This weekend will be hosting the Great Plains Model Arab League and msu model un is so excited to participate in this conference! we will be representing Iraq, Somalia, and Egypt in the political, environmental, and defense councils.
