As September draws close, I still haven't found a new salon to call home. I thank you all for your patience as I play this game of "I spy A New Treatment Space." I am trying to be mindful of where I chose to be the next home for my business. I want a place of peace for all of you to enjoy when you see me for your treatments. Hopefully, I will find the perfect place soon. But until then, I'm still here for any skincare questions as well as your Dermalogica product needs.

Hey everyone! How have yall been doing? I'm still closed but am looking for a new salon to call home. Until then, I wanted to start doing monthly ingredient highlights. So I figured I'd kick it off with vitamin c.

There's several types of vitamin c, so there's a few things to consider when choosing one for you. L-ascorbic acid is the most common, but some sensitive or acne skin types may not like it. If this is you, opt for the form sodium ascorbyl phosphate. Be sure it's not in clear packaging. Most vitamin c serums have a shelf life of 6 months once opened. If your serum isn't used in that time frame, throw it out. I know we hate throwing away money, but that serum won't do anything good for you. Various types of vitamin c can be found in various percentages, but you will never need more than 20%, so don't fall for any of these market ploys.

I'm still out of the salon for a couple months, but I wanted to give y'all this important reminder with sunny days heading our way. A couple of my favorites are Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 (a chemical spf thay is also a moisturizer) and Invisible Physical Defense SPF30 (a mineral sunscreen).

Remember, I may not be taking clients right now, but I'm still around if you have any questions about your skin or need to restock your favorite products, especially sun protection!!

I'm excited to announce that back in October, I became an oncology trained esthetician! Treatments with oncology safe products will be arriving in the new year as I bring on to join my product lineup. (If you love , don't be worried, I'll still have their products). I'm excited for this next step in my professional journey to safely help you achieve healthy skin and, maybe, even a little relaxation.

Here's a fun little before and after from the other day. First facial in a few years. We kept it simple with a 60-minute customized facial. With just this one treatment, the redness calmed down. We also did a couple of gentle extractions, worked on texture, and got her hydration levels up. I mean, look at her, she's glowing!!

Let's take a minute and talk about acne. I'm seeing an influx of people experiencing breakouts, myself included.
