Please do not expect quick responses because we may not be able to reply for a while depending on circumstances. We are sad to share bad news but we need clients to understand we are going through a difficult time.

Our mom/grandma, Debi, is currently in the emergency room. Last night she was walking and talking until she suddenly blacked out. She fell straight backward and slammed her head on concrete. Her CT scan came back clear with no bleeds and no fractures of her neck, head or upper spine. The EKG reading showed an abnormality. They saw evidence of a left bundle branch block. This is a blockage on the pathway of the left ventricle causing a delay in the heart’s electrical wiring system. The blood vessels are not delivering blood effectively to portions of the heart. Mom has a hematoma that bled a good amount. They are continuing to run tests and will do a deeper dive into checking her heart for an underlying cause. She is feeling very weak. 😢

We need to move some apple, pear and kiwi wood to make room. We have two boxes up for grabs containing 3 pounds of apple/pear sticks, twigs, twiglets and chew chunks (mostly apple). Many of the wood pieces are not pretty but all pieces are good quality and are fully processed and ready to chew! Each box also has one pound of kiwi sticks and twigs that are very nice looking.

We were watching the game show, The Floor, tonight and the Chinchilla came up on the screen! The contestant didn’t know what it was!! 😂 Armstrong was screaming from his cage, “Chinchilla!!!!!!!!!”

Meet our new foster boys, Fred (sterling) and George (black velvet). They come from a loving home where the owner didn’t have enough time to give them anymore and chose to surrender them so they could have a better life. These boys are a pleasure to have in our home. Meet Fred and George. These beautiful boys recently joined us here at OSAR because their owner no longer had the time to give them the care that they needed. They’re bonded, adults (guesstimated 5 or 6), friendly, healthy well rounded guys who will be looking for their forever home as soon as they’re out of evaluation. They would be great for an educated first time owner or an experienced chinchilla owner.
