Congratulations to **all four of our Lucky Lunch Tray winners!** 🎉 Each winner found the special sticker on their lunch tray and took home a goodie bag filled with fun surprises! 🎁

Here are two of our lucky winners celebrating their prizes! We’re so happy to see our students having fun with school lunch. 💚

These past few days brought unexpected challenges across SPS, and our team stepped up in a big way.
We were out at six different schools, making sure students and families had breakfast and lunch to take home. Our team packed, loaded, drove, organized, and served , helping wherever they were needed.

Through it all, Home Grown Springfield came together as an even stronger team.

Thank you to everyone who jumped in and helped make it happen. Families showed up and so did you. 💚

🎪Lucky Lunch Tray at Brunton Elementary!

The Lucky Lunch Tray fun has come to an end, and we have 4 lucky winners! 🎉

Students at Brunton Elementary joined in by choosing a school meal and keeping an eye out for a special sticker hiding on the bottom of their tray. Four lucky students found the winning stickers and took home a Young Chef’s Cookbook! 👩‍🍳📚🏆

Today was full of fun, flavor, and student voices! 🍽️💚

Our first Student Choice Event was a hit. Students tasted, voted, and shared their opinions to help us learn more about what they want in their school meals.

We’re starting with one fun question: What should we call our seasoning?

Thank you to the school, our staff, and especially the students for participating and sharing their feedback.

Over the next 3 weeks, we’ll be visiting more schools to keep the voting going and find the winning name. More Student Choice activities are coming soon!

What’s cooking today?

Today’s menu included a Chipotle Chicken Rice Bowl with seasoned rice, CNC stewed black beans, roasted corn and chipotle-glazed chicken, with salsa and sour cream for students to make it their own.

And yes… there was pizza too. 🍕 Freshly cooked and ready for lunch!

Behind the scenes, our team is also making small changes to the cafeteria setup to help create a smoother lunch experience for students.
