Adopt a Springfield Cardinal
We are here to help and support players and families of the Springfield Cardinals. If you would like
Long time no see. I've started reaching out to some players. With no scope of how the season will look or the roster will fill out, information might be scarce for a bit. Be on the lookout for updates soon.

With no baseball this season and no players to adopt, we will be looking to the 2021 season. I spoke to a few players who may be in Springfield in the following weeks. If they need anything, they will let us know. Thank you all for being here. Unfortunately, there is not a great need at the moment.
Still in contact with players. Everything is just at a standstill. MLB is actually stepping up for the guys a bit. Pun intended!
I've talked to a few of our guys. They are very humbled and doing well during all this!
With all this Coronavirus stuff going on we are going to delay donations until some of this storm weathers. If any players reach out we will address them on a case by case basis. Most the guys I talked to are at home and being taken care of. In season is the real issue. Thanks and I will keep you all updated!
The main thing we are looking to do at the moment is the Tier 1 donations. These will be split into gift bags or boxes depending on volume of donations and given to the Clubhouse Manager to give to players. I will post a list of ideas this week on what we are looking for! Individual sponsors of specific players will only be available by player request.
Any donations not used or in excess this season will be given to local Springfield charities.
Be sure to share our page with anyone you think would like to support this project. I'm currently talking with some players to gage the best way to support them. As we get individual sponsors that want to do Tier 2 sponsorship I will link them with players first come first serve.
The main feedback I am getting is many of these guys could use food gift cards and packages like I showed in another post. If you would like to help me with a donation drive I will be getting a list of items we would like to have and organize a drop off day at Hammons field. If it would be easier to send by mail or donations I will have ways to do that as well!
As the page grows, are there any questions about what we are trying to do? Also, we already have our first donation! I would really like to get some stuff put together for when the season starts and players just get here. Remember, they are not receiving any pay while the season is halted. First pay checks wont start until the season is underway. For some of these guys food will be an issue.

Here is a recent Twins player adopted and a typical care package players would get. Folks, it doesn't have to be much. Any little bit helps!
This is a new process. Please bear with me as I get everything ironed out. We should have Venmo and PayPal links available. If you would like to drop a donation off in person, please PM me. If you are a business and would like to make a one time or re-occurring donation I would be more than happy to meet you in person.
Please note, if you would like to include contact information (I will get forms made) I will be providing these to the players so they can reach out to you as well.
Thank you for the support and God Bless!
