On November 17th, 2023, Springfield College professor of Psychology Christine Selby, PhD, CEDS, CMPC-E, facilitated Mental Health First Aid training specifically for public safety officers from Springfield College, Western New England, and Springfield Technical Community College.
Great to see the officers’ commitment to providing added support to their communities and departments!

TWI Research 🧐
Our research team is currently working on a project that seeks to use the Oura ring to track and analyze metrics related to health, wellness, and recovery in our very own SC faculty and staff.

March is National Nutrition Month!
National Nutrition Month is an annual campaign started by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in March of 2023. This is a month to look into the importance of making healthy dietary choices, and understanding how much our diet influences our life. February is American Heart Month!
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Americans. February is a month to bring light to pressing issues surrounding heart health and disease.
In 2019, 18.6 million global deaths caused by heart disease were reported. This is a 17.1% increase from 2010. Global diagnostics of heart disease increased by 26.6% over the same time period, resulting in a total 523.2 million cases of heart disease around the world.
