We seen this post online & wanted to share for everyone to be aware. There are some incredible cruel people in this world that want to harm animals. Your animals. For whatever reason they seem fit. If you have a yard always be alert and check your yard BEFORE letting your dogs out. When going on walks always look a few steps ahead on the ground before your dog gets to that spot. I have seen people that put razor blades in donuts that were thrown in yard with dogs. Cooked chicken bones thrown in yards. Nails just like this mixed in food thrown in yards. Food mixed with rat poison & all types of chemicals to poison animals. Please be on the look out to ensure the safety of your animals.

If you or someone you know has animals that are actively on the streets please let us know so we can help. We want to make sure your animals stay safe while living on the streets with their owners during these hard times.

With the weather getting colder people that are homeless will be struggling even more to stay warm during these times. Many are pet owners and we want to gift some items to homeless pet owners during their time of need. We would love to provide necessities no matter the size of the dog. If you know or seen any homeless owners please let us know. We would love to provide them with food, travel bowls, sweaters, collars, leashes, harnesses, a pet bag, and some grooming services.

We are looking for a family to donate a bag of food to here in MA thanks to one of our members that donated a bag of food to us. If you or someone you know is in need please let us know.

Hartford Animal Shelter Partnered with Hartford Police Department These dogs are strays from the streets of Hartford. Information on them is limited, including medical history. We do not know how these dogs are with children or cats. Viewing is by appointment only, there are no shelter hours open to the public. All family members including animals must come to meet the dog. Please call 860-757-4395 or message the page if you are interested in a dog you see posted. The Animal Control Officer will respond in a first come/first serve basis. Adoption fee for CT residents is $50 which includes a medical voucher that provides $200 towards spay/neuter and $30 towards a vaccine (must be a veterinarian based in CT that accepts this voucher, ACO can provide a list of hospitals that do accept it). Adoption fee for out of state residents is $5 and does not include medical voucher.
