Over $66 million in federal funding is set to go to Illinois airports for infrastructure improvements, and nearly $12 million will go to Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield.

The funds will help improve taxiways, accommodate more passengers and make traveling through Illinois airports safer and more efficient.

Thank you, Mike Miletich for taking the time to speak with me about the dangers of pretrial release in Illinois. History has proven that ending cash bail has made our communities less safe and it's got to stop.

Eliminating cash bail did not eliminate the need for accountability.

Pretrial Fairness Act: 3 years since Illinois abolished cash bail Friday marks three years since Illinois became the first state in the country to completely end the use of cash bail.

The last three years have proven that ending cash bail has made our communities less safe as repeat offenders continue to commit heinous crimes. Illinoisans deserve a criminal justice system that puts victims, families and public safety first- not criminals.

Since the passage of the SAFE-T Act, I have joined my Republican colleagues to fix the broken law. We have introduced more than 40 bills to fix flaws in the law, strengthen accountability, and restore balance to Illinois’ criminal justice system.

Three years after the elimination of cash bail in Illinois, we continue to urge Democrats to take public safety seriously and reform this dangerous system.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2027 the Educational Choice for Children’s Act will go into effect. This initiative does not cost taxpayers a dime and helps families award tuition tutors, specialized services for disabilities, books, transportation, and more.

There is no risk involved, only better opportunities for our young students.

If Illinois fails to opt-in, our taxpayers’ donations will skip over Illinois children to benefit kids in other states and Illinois children will lack access to new scholarship funds made available as a result of federal law.

Today we celebrate America’s greatest document, the founding principles of our amazing nation, and the citizens who make our country so incredible.

Illinois is facing new lawsuits over Democrats' digital ad tax and social media platform fee. House Republicans warned about the issues with these dubious new taxes this spring, but Democrats seem hell-bent on raising taxes no matter the consequences.

Instead of taxing everything that moves, the Democrats should cut their spending.

Last month, Maryland’s tax court ruled that the state’s digital advertising gross revenues tax violates the Tax Freedom Act, the Commerce Clause and the Due Process Clause.

Let's save taxpayers from another costly lawsuit and repeal these measures today.

Imagine operating a business and purchasing essential supplies without knowing how much you would be charged. That's essentially what Democrats are doing with taxpayer dollars every time they pass a substantive law without fiscal notes.

Most states require fiscal notes on all or substantially all bills, which makes sense. Illinois taxpayers deserve to have elected officials who manage government spending wisely.

More than 10,000 bills. Only 32 provided a cost estimate. Lawmakers filed over 10,000 bills in the 104th Illinois General Assembly, but fewer than half of 1% included fiscal notes.
