🐝✨ The very first WAVE Springfield Tipsy Spelling Bee is officially in the books!
About twenty-five folks joined us at Bizarre Bar last night for drinks, laughs, questionable spelling decisions, and way more fun than anyone expected.
We survived a Naughty Round. 😏
We tackled words like "esophagus."
We cheered each other on.
We laughed until our faces hurt.
And after a hard-fought competition, congratulations to Allison for taking home the win! 🏆🐝
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made our first Tipsy Spelling Bee such a success. Whether you spelled every word perfectly or confidently invented your own version, you helped make it a night to remember.

🐝💜 Tomorrow night! WAVE + Sapphic Scene - Tipsy Spelling Bee
If you've been picturing a traditional spelling bee where you miss one word and get sent home in shame... that's not what we're doing!
We've got multiple rounds, a redemption round for anyone who gets knocked out early, prizes, drinks, and yes... a naughty round. 😏
The goal isn't to crown Springfield's greatest spelling champion. The goal is to laugh, have fun, meet new people, and see what happens when a room full of women starts trying to spell words under pressure.

We've got our photo spots picked out!
We'll kick things off at the Birthplace of Route 66 Plaza at Jefferson & St. Louis, where we'll have murals, sculptures, and plenty of fun backdrops for photos. From there, we'll hit a couple other downtown spots before ending the evening with rooftop views and good company at Eyrie Rooftop Bar.
Need new photos for social media? Dating apps? Business headshots? Just want an excuse to get dressed up and have a fun girls' day out? This is your chance.

Who's joining us?
16 women came out for Mini Golf Night last night, and we had an absolute blast! 💜⛳
We celebrated holes-in-one, laughed at some truly questionable shots, and spent the evening cheering each other on while navigating dinosaurs, doghouses, fish, and all kinds of mini-golf obstacles.
The best part? Watching women who started the evening as strangers leave feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.
And apparently nobody was ready for the night to end, because about half the group headed to dinner together afterward. 💕
Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night. If you've been thinking about joining a WAVE event, we'd love to have you at the next one.
