Meet David Loveall, County Commissioner Springfield

05/23/2026

Congratulations to Commissioner-elect Sean VanGordon. Your plate is full, and I’m praying for your success on behalf of the people of Springfield.

I love America, Lane County and the city I believe is the best there is, Springfield. I’m grateful the voice of people prevailed and I’m thankful we had such a great voter turnout.

My wife and I have zero regrets or feelings of loss from the election results as we have always been investors in people, economic development of start up businesses, service to the community and to our faith for 46 years together. Nothing changes today or tomorrow.

A friend of mine said, “Remember, Election Day is a victory either way. You either serve there or you get to serve somewhere else…”

What I am indebted to however, is all of the incredible people who served in the campaign, donated, encouraged and who stopped me on my morning run to express appreciation for being bold and never bending my convictions. But most importantly to the countless who prayed…and prayed hard.

This is the real victory here. When a nation prays, goodness prevails, people rejoice, because things are seen differently, the way a just and gracious heart sees. A nation groans under any other circumstances.

I will always stand up for what I believe, hold steadfast to my convictions, hold government accountable to the same standards I hold myself even in light of controversy and criticism…even self peril. This is a character trait I respect in others and will always strive for myself in the future.

The call going forward is what each of us will continue do today to make our world better. This mission should never suffer loss or setback.
Continue to pray for Lane County and our state.

While we wait for every vote to be counted, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who supported my campaign for reelection to the County Commission to represent Springfield. My fiercely dedicated and loving wife, incredible volunteers and financial supporters who showed up and spent countless hours, knocking on doors, putting up signs, and spreading the word.

I am truly grateful for your support.

I will be putting out a further statement as more ballots are counted.

Wishful Green Thinking Replaces Economic Discipline 05/15/2026

This is precisely why I’ve been against the Cleanlane project from the start, as it NEVER penciled for taxpayers who are going to be on the hook for millions of dollars from this failed project. The financial burden is only going to get worse if we don't turn back now. This follows the underhanded way in which this project has been pushed in Lane County.

Wishful Green Thinking Replaces Economic Discipline For decades, West Coast progressives have insisted that an ambitious, technocratic government could engineer a cleaner and more sustainable economy without costing taxpayers very much. However, in Ore

I’m running reelection to continue fighting for the issues that matter to the people of Springfield.

• Prioritizing public safety and Economic development
• Fighting for real solutions for homelessness & mental health
• Fighting for fair wages for frontline & union workers
• Opposing Pay increases for County Commissioners

And I’m not done fighting for you yet! Make sure to return your ballot by 8 PM on May 19th.

When David speaks about the need for real solutions for mental health and homelessness, it isn’t a talking point. It is a mission born from the personal pain of watching a loved one suffer while a system stood by, unable to help. He is driven by the desire to ensure other families do not have to endure the tragedy we did.

When I look at his work today, I see him focusing on the things that matter. Please make sure to return your ballot and vote David Loveall by May 19th.
