With the extreme heat forecast, be safe by following the EXTREME HEAT TIPS:
-Never leave people or pets in a closed car on a warm day.

-If air conditioning is not available in your home find a cooling option.

-Take cool showers or baths.

-Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing.

-Use your oven less to help reduce the temperature in your home.

-If you’re outside, find shade. Wear a hat wide enough to protect your face.

-Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

-Avoid high-energy activities or work outdoors, during midday heat, if possible.

-Check on family members, older adults and neighbors.

-Watch for heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

-Consider pet safety. If they are outside, make sure they have plenty of cool water and access to comfortable shade. Asphalt and dark pavement can be very hot to your pet’s feet.

Ember is so excited to see the students come back to school. She missed her people.

Ember is ready to welcome the students back with enthusiasm.

There was a visitor for Ember yesterday. Skyler and his girlfriend Maddie. Skyler trained Ember for 2 years through S.I.T Service Dogs. Ember was very excited to see them. They were just as excited to see her.

Ember and the LLCC PD want to wish the Loggers GOOD LUCK LADIES.

Ember made a visit to the Abraham Capital Airport to see the LLCC Aviation Center. Thanks to Program Director David Pietrzak, Program Assistant Christine Courier and the students for the pictures. Ember will be talking to her friend Snoopy about aviation gear to wear on next visit.

During these cold days, don't forget to have your vehicle equipped with Emergency Supplies.

Ember is happy to see the students return to campus. Future students were also welcomed by Ember @ Welcome Week.
