Springfield Wednesday Night Rumble

The Springfield Rumble folks represented very well at the Shootout this weekend. Dylan and Ryan had equipment failures due to the rough conditions otherwise they would have been at the top of leader board, great job everyone. Remember we will be racing this Wednesday.

We have changed the frequency of the race to every Wednesday. So I hope to see everyone on Wednesday.

This was the final race of the season and as such was lengthen to 7.6 miles, in addition a strong wind was added to raise the difficulty. Even with that, there were strong performances by all racers although there were no head to head races battling it out for position. Jake won the ZRE paddle provided by ZRE rep Rocky, your go to guy if you need a great racing canoe paddle. Don and Daryl each won a ZRE hat. Kaitlyn and Charlotte finished the course although no time was given, Crystal had trouble with the surfski and tough conditions and was not able to finish. Special thanks to Shorty for being the official timer for all these races. See you folks next year after the time change for more great competition.

New course record by Dylan, Charlotte and Kaitlin are getting faster and Rocky will be having the last race of the season on Sunday October 10th at 1 pm. The drawing for the ZRE paddle and a couple of ZRE hats will be after the race.

Better late than never? Results from two weeks ago.

This week's results, it was good to have some a couple new paddlers and some very competitive races.

Nice turnout Wednesday night. Some slower times due to the wind but a new course record in K2 and very competitive races for 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th.
I don't have last names for Jeremy or Crystal so if someone will help me with this I'll update the results. Also feel free to tag folks.
