Chess In The Parks - Springfield Mass

We are not expert chess players or Grandmasters and this is not a “Chess League”. What we are is a small group of volunteers ready to teach beginner Chess to anyone in the community who wants to learn. Chess in The Parks aims to work with the local civic associations and neighborhood councils throughout the city of Springfield, Mass to schedule FREE events in neighborhood parks. Chess is known to increase different aspects of intelligence, cognitive abilities, memory, and recall. An empowered mind is one of the best tools a person can have to help them succeed at their goals.
