This year I grew about 2 1/2 gallons of potatoes. Yesterday I spent the day canning them. 19 pints of potatoes with only 1 loss which I didn’t notice had not sealed. Next up is peppers and then pumpkins.

From November until August 1. Garlic has been put up. I think next year I need to double how much I plant. 🧄🧛‍♀️

The most perfect tomato I’ve ever grown. I may have to frame it. 1 pound, 10 ounces. 🍅🍅🍅

It’s that time of the year, I have peppers, peaches, blackberries, and cherry tomatoes. Have I mentioned the green beans?

What was I thinking planting all those green bean seeds 🫣

Apparently this year we are chaos gardening. Don’t have my normal energy after kidney stones and migraines. Definitely need to cut back some of my tomatoes plants. Garlic didn’t do as well this year but still will be good.

Taking a break from camping to take care of the chickens. Picked a gallon of green beans. Looks like I will be making some this week. 🫘🫛

When I was a little girl, my Mom’s dad had a garden and I remember him growing radishes. Mom looked confused when I said that and said she didn’t think my memory was correct because she didn’t think they grew radishes. She may be right and I could be totally wrong, but I have always tried growing them. I have never been successful until this year. I was weeding the garden earlier and thought carrots were already coming up but the leaves didn’t look like carrots. Imagine my surprise when I realized they were radishes. Not sure if we like radishes but we are going to try them in a salad. Salad is definitely on the menu this week.

Strawberry jam is done. Can’t wait for Mark to get done mowing the yard so he can try it. The dings of the can are my favorite part. 🍓🍓🍓
