When we're capturing actual twilight photography, we're often working in near darkness, moving quickly to catch that perfect window of light. (And yes... sometimes that means leaving myself a bright pink rock so I can find my way back to the camera. 😂)

Why go through the extra effort?

Because there's something special about real twilight. The warm glow from the windows, the landscape lighting, and the rich evening sky create a feeling that's hard to replicate.

It's one of my favorite ways to showcase a home and one of the details that helps a listing stand out online.

📸 The best drone shot is rarely the first one. 🎥

When I'm filming a listing, I'm constantly adjusting the drone's position to find the angle that tells the strongest story.

For a backyard like this, I wasn't just trying to show there was a poolI wanted buyers to experience the outdoor living space, the landscaping, and how everything flows together.

Every movement has a purpose. Every angle is chosen intentionally.

That's the difference between simply flying a drone and using drone photography as part of a thoughtful real estate marketing strategy.

🚁 The drone isn't the first thing that flies... the safety check is.

Before every real estate drone shoot, I check the airspace to make sure it's safe and legal to fly. Depending on the location, there may be airport restrictions, temporary flight restrictions, or other airspace considerations that need to be cleared first.

Being an FAA-certified drone pilot isn't just about capturing beautiful aerial footage, it's about flying responsibly and protecting everyone on the ground.

A little planning before takeoff helps ensure every listing gets the amazing drone photography and aerial video it deserves.
