Blackberries are such underrated fruits.
I just love how sweet yet slightly tart they are and their wonderful rich purple color.
This cake is dedicated to you oh lovely blackberries 😁
Four layers of classic vanilla cake with homemade blackberry filling and blackberry buttercream.
Topped with these beautiful IQF blackberries from of course.

I always used to wonder what those 'tiny oranges' tasted like.
But I never tried them until a couple weeks ago when my husband came home with a whole bag of them.
After trying one (And woo! the flavor is quite strong, but so fragrant and citrusy), I immediately said, "this is going in a cake."
So here it is...Kumquat Cake, filled with homemade kumquat marmalade, topped with candied kumquat flowers.
Would you dare to try?

Simple pineapple cake with some not-so-simple-took-forever-to-dry-out-in-the-oven pineapple flowers🤦🏾‍♀️. (They tasted great though, totally worth it😊)

A Black Forest Cake with a twist!
This non-traditional Black Forest Cake has three layers of delicious chocolate cake, cherry compote and SMBC. Adorned with a chocolate drip, chocolate brush strokes and topped with chocolatey goodies of course!
Thanks for the opportunity to create such an interesting design that looked great from all angles. Initially I thought, "hmm that's a lot of things to include in one cake," but after striking a balance between the diverse elements without overcrowding, it came out really good. I'm glad I was able to excute on your birthday cake vision.😁
