Slowly getting it back together. Two broken bolts extracted, all bolt threads and threaded holes cleaned, gaskets procured, cleaned and coated intake manifold. Might be close to getting this project done!

The continuation of the exhaust manifold replacement on the 65 Ford F100.
I must confess that all the Facebook videos on how to remove a bolt after breaking off the head seemed fake. However, I had little to lose in this case.
Threaded on a nut, welded nut to bolt, heated the head with a propane torch, added some candle wax to the threads, used an impact gun, and it came out. Apparently, not everything on Facebook is fake! Now I need to get some of that blinker fluid and let the Winter air out of my tires and replace it with Summer air!

It still amazes me the things you can find on Ebay. Steakley Chevrolet where my 69 Camaro was originally sold in Texas. Found this original, metal dealership emblem.

Nothing to do on a holiday Monday except rear brakes on the truck. Good thing my brother came to help out. Thanks John!

This is a sponsored post I am sharing. Can’t say the guy is wrong. I’ve seen the same thing at the dealership I work at. Worth at least taking a look and considering.

1965 Ford F100. Cracked exhaust manifold. No big deal. I already have a new manifold. What could possibly go wrong? Just remove everything in the way (carb, alternator, wires, fuel lines) and unbolt it!
Oh, yea, there’s always that one bolt!

Big thanks to Jason Carithers at CarzMedics for the professional reconditioning of my 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera. Paint correction, a couple body “dings” taken out, PPF, and ceramic coating. If you want to protect your investment, he is the go-to guy!
