This weeks Shelter Spotlight Sunday is back on Drew.

“Foster or adopt Drew 💙

Drew came with my family on a little field trip—fishing, a short hike, and dinner—and this boy was PERFECT from start to finish. 🥹❤️

He’s such an easygoing, simple dog who doesn’t need much to be happy. He just wants to be included and have a comfy place to call home.

A few things I loved about our day:

🐾 Calm & easygoing

🚗 Loves car rides

🌲 Enjoys slow walks and sniffing all the good smells

💦 Loved checking out the creek

🍽️ Perfect gentleman at dinner—quietly sat by my feet

👦 Gentle & friendly with my 3- and 5-year-old

❤️ Loved all the attention from the kids

🐶 Just an all-around good boy!

Drew is 8, so he’s not looking for a fast-paced, 5-mile adventure. He’d much rather take a leisurely stroll, take in his surroundings, and enjoy life at his own pace. 🥹

Honestly, this dog has just about zero flaws in my opinion. He’s the kind of dog who would fit so easily into a home. He doesn’t ask for much—just love, a soft place to land, and someone to include him in their life.

Drew is available for foster or adoption.”

This week’s Drink of the Week is the Cinnamon Carajillo.

Reposado tequila, espresso and cinnamon come together for a smooth, rich cocktail with just the right touch of warmth. We’re finishing it with a cinnamon donut for a little something extra alongside every sip.

Drew recently got to go on a little chill-day field trip, and he was the perfect boy the entire time. ❤️

At 8 years old, Drew is an older gentleman, but he has SO much love to give. Some of my favorite things about Drew:

🐾 Appears to be potty trained

🐾 Calm and easygoing

🐾 Does well around people and crowds

🐾 Has shown no signs of being reactive toward other dogs on our walks

🐾 Patient and gentle with my 5-year-old

🐾 Would make a wonderful first-time dog

I think Drew may have been overlooked because when you first meet him, he isn’t immediately all over you. But once you get to know him, his affectionate side really comes out. His love is worth waiting for. ❤️ Not every dog gives you an instant connection, and that’s okay!

Drew has been at the shelter too long and is ready for a comfy bed and a family of his own. ❤️
