Springboro’s leader in high quality news content and weather coverage around the Miami Valley

03/28/2026

LOCAL: The Springboro Police Department recently partnered with Springboro Schools to help train Warren County SWAT officers using an out of service bus to practice real world training scenarios.

“We are incredibly grateful to Springboro Schools for partnering with us to support training for the Warren County SWAT team.

Recently, an out-of-service school bus was provided to assist with realistic, hands-on training scenarios. While none of us ever want to imagine a situation that would require a SWAT response on a school bus, preparation is key to keeping our community safe.

Opportunities like this allow first responders to train in real-world environments, strengthening their ability to respond quickly, effectively, and safely if the unthinkable ever happens.

Thank you, Springboro Schools, for your continued commitment to safety and for helping ensure our officers are ready when it matters most”.
