The CCCC Youth Work Trip has begun! The youth and their adult sponsors hit the road about 2:50pm. Lots of prayers for them, especially as they find themselves working in this heat.

Here at camp, we are learning the patience of guiding others through the labyrinth, and about being kind.

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, it says "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

For small groups, we talked about the challenge of putting this love into practice.

Good questions would be what is mushroom ball and what's the coolest pollinator, or paulinator, that you learned about at camp?

The day started with a morning devotional led by the 9th grade boys on Nehemiah 8 - the joy of the Lord is my strength.

Keynote key takeaways:
Joy - confession can produce joy if you also receive the message of God's grace and forgiveness for you.
Peace - internal peace can lead to external peace, let it be so.

Worship last night including a few youth sharing about grief and being harmed by others. A few ways Jesus was at work was learning to laugh at what your loved ones used to laugh at and to remember the support of those you have lost when you receive love and support from others. Oh, and the song Call Your Mom by Noah Kahan.

Day 1 at High School Camp! We are learning about the fruit of the Spirit, making new friends, and we worshipped in the new chapel.

A little Christmas in May... It was pretty hilarious, and we learned a little more about the Christmas stories in Luke and Matthew.
