Later that same year recorded a demo with Producer Dave Ahlert (The Jacksons, Fleetwood Mac, Sugar Ray, Blue October) achieved Major Label Deal. Houston Texas Artist Rob Carranza has be compared to The FooFighters, Jimmy Eatworld, and Incubus. In the past Rob formed the band StarFX , which achieved moderate success with their national release of "Changes" in 2000. At SXSW 2000 Rob was selected by 12 panel A/R scouts as a new hot Artist. Attorney Al went to LA and NY to meet all A/R’s bosses....and came home to Texas with 6 offers. Later that same year recorded a demo with LA Producer Dave Ahlert (The Jacksons, Earth To Andy, Fleetwood Mac, Sugar Ray, The GoGo’s, Dave Navarro, Blue October) and with the help of Attorney Al Staeheley (Stevie Ray Vaughan, King's X, Blue October) received 6 label offers. Rob has shared the stage with many top acts nation-wide and locally performed at Houston's BuzzFest. After quitting the biz in 2001 was offered a gig with Warner Chapel as a staff writer in Burbank, CA (help freshly signed bands write songs); but still not happy with the music industry decided to decline. was picked for a movies soundtrack...but offer was too low and Rob did not sell. Later in 2004 teamed up with wife Melanie formed a group and performed at SXSW in Austin. Rob and Melanie co-wrote song "Where Did I Go":
