We had family come in from Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arizona, and Utah for our family reunion. We may or may not had to bribe them with Pizza Zone.

It was great having so much of our family together in one place.

The Albuquerque Turkey has been flying out of the kitchen this month, and if you haven’t tried it yet… you’re running out of time!

Alfredo sauce, Cheese, Turkey, Red Onions, Green Chiles, Cheddar and Parmesan Cheese all come together for one seriously delicious pizza.

But remember — it’s our September Pizza of the Month, which means when September ends, so does the Albuquerque Turkey!

We had such a great time and loved getting to meet so many families and seeing so many familiar faces.

And let's give a shoutout to these three! We say it all the time, but we really do have an AWESOME team. Whether they’re behind the counter at Pizza Zone or out representing us in the community, they always do an amazing job.

Back in the old days, before computers took our orders, we did everything on paper tickets. Each topping had its own letter code so we could quickly write down your pizza order.

Well…y’all certainly had some feelings about drone delivery yesterday. So we thought we should clear something up:

No, Pizza Zone is NOT considering delivering your pizza by drone. Your pizza is staying firmly on the ground. But your comments actually brought up something we think about a lot.

The pizza business is changing. Automated equipment can make more and more of the pizza. Ordering kiosks can replace the person at the counter. AI can answer the phone and take your order. And apparently, drones can even bring dinner to your house.

But just because we CAN automate something doesn't always mean we WANT to.

We're a local, family-owned pizza shop. We like answering the phone. We like knowing our customers. We like seeing you walk through the door. We like our employees making your pizzas, taking your orders, talking to your kids, and getting to know the families who have been coming here for years.

Technology probably could make some of those things faster or easier, but somewhere along the way, we'd lose a little bit of what makes Pizza Zone…Pizza Zone.

We'll continue using technology where it makes sense and helps us serve you better. But we have no interest in replacing the human connection that's been at the heart of this pizza shop for more than 26 years.

So don't worry.......
Real people will keep making your pizza.
Real people will keep answering your phone calls.
And real people will keep showing up at your door with it.

This looks like the future…but apparently, the future is already here. We spotted this drone station at Spring Cypress and 249 today.

Drone delivery is becoming a reality more and more, and it got us wondering...
